Since the year 1995 US-American and European consumer organizations work together in the context of the Transatlantic Consumer Dialogue (TACD). In this entry, which was published in the Reference Guide to Consumer Activism, Rhoda Karpatkin and Christian Thorun explain the membership and governance structures of the TACD, offer an overview of TACD's political priorities and activities over the two decades of its existence and assess the overall impact of this institution.
