New publications on artificial intelligence and digital responsibility
On the occasion of the 5th CDR Conference on November 14, 2024 in Berlin, Dr. Sara Elisa Kettner and Prof. Dr. Christian Thorun published new survey results on the opportunities and risks of using artificial intelligence (AI). The aim of the representative online survey commissioned by the Federal Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection was to investigate citizens' experiences with AI technologies, opportunities and risks of using AI and expectations of the responsible use of AI.
You can find more information and the results of the survey on the CDR initiative website.
In addition, the anthology 'Human-Centered Digitalization' was published, in which Dr. Sara Elisa Kettner and Prof. Dr. Christian Thorun also contributed as authors. In this regard, another representative online survey commissioned by the CDR initiative of the Federal Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection in autumn 2023 is worth highlighting. The aim of this survey was to determine citizens' attitudes and needs with regard to human-centered digital transformation.
The anthology was published by Nomos and can be downloaded here.
Marlene Münsch as a guest on the podcast ‘We are Fashion Revolution’
What are the effects of consumption detox in everyday life?
What does research say about consumption detox challenges? And what helps us to consume less in the long term? These questions were at the centre of the new podcast episode of We are Fashion Revolution. Psychologist and ConPolicy project manager Marlene Münsch was a guest in this episode and shared exciting insights on the topic of ownership reduction from the citizen science project ‘My thing - I am what I (don't) have’. Fashion Revolution Germany's podcast series ‘From Awareness to Action’ sheds light on how good intentions become real changes.
Marlene Münsch reports on why sustainable decluttering is more than just clearing out, how the conscious use of consumer goods succeeds and what role social norms, marketing and personal routines play. Practical tips are also discussed on how sustainable consumption habits can be established - from consumer detox to sharing and repairing.
