The topic of sufficiency can become very emotional, especially in the area of mobility: Design options for a better quality of life through less traffic can lead to problems in acceptance, especially when implementing and introducing measures (e.g. traffic-calmed, car-free zones). This guide summarizes findings from the behavioral sciences and provides municipalities with examples of successful communication of sufficiency measures to reduce concerns and barriers. In addition, ten SharePics were developed to position sufficiency mobility in social media in a simple, concise and convincing way. The guide was produced as part of the research project 'Development of a sufficiency strategy for the transport sector and its successful communication'.
