Mobility must be redirected in order to make a fundamental contribution to achieving the climate targets. For more justice, social compatibility must be established and existing injustices and climate-damaging privileges must be eliminated. The change in transport and mobility must be managed and taxed in such a way that Germany retains its financial capacity to act. The study 'Steering mobility into the future: Fair, individual and sustainable' shows how this can be achieved. Measures and fiscal instruments were examined and evaluated on behalf of the UBA. This brochure describes the results and presents key recommendations of the study.
