With this interim report, the German Federal Cartel Office first provides an overview of the general conditions in the industry as well as the various provider groups, functionalities and business models. It also presents the results of a survey of over 40 different service providers on the subject of interoperability and provides an initial legal, technical and scientific classification of this. The aim is to present a final report with concrete recommendations for action in the coming year.
