Energy sharing enables the direct participation of various stakeholder groups in the use of renewable energy. For new players in particular, however, implementation is associated with high hurdles due to energy industry regulations. The report “Energy Sharing: From Concept to Energy Industry Implementation” addresses the issue of implementing energy sharing communities in Germany in the context of the changing legal framework. Various models are used to outline how the distribution of roles in the energy industry and the exchange of data can be structured.
