Current consumer policy topics are regularly discussed as part of the digital event series 'Consumer Protection at Noon' organized by the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry for Family Affairs, Women, Culture and Integration with the support of ConPolicy. In the next event on Friday, September 23, from 12:00 to 13:00, experts will engage in conversation on the topic of 'Right to repair'.
It is not only at EU and federal level that the topic of 'reparability' is high on the political agenda. However, the concrete implementation and design of a 'right to repair' has many facets and challenges. Lack of financial resources, different responsibilities and viable concepts of how cooperation can work are just a few examples.
The virtual panel will include Katharina Binz (Consumer Protection Minister of Rhineland-Palatinate), Anna Cavazzini (European Parliament), Tom Hansing ('Runder Tisch Reparatur e.V.') Christoph Tochtrop (Wuppertal Institute), Elke Salzmann (Federation of German Consumer Organizations) and Werner Scholz (German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (ZVEI) e.V.). The event will be moderated by ConPolicy Managing Director Prof. Dr. Christian Thorun.
